A journey through the many minds I meet...

Hi, I'm Sukanksha.

I’m a Neurodivergent Learning Specialist. Through Understanding ET, I work alongside neurodivergent individuals, families, and schools to build practical skills and sustainable systems that last.

How I Work

With over 13 years of working closely with children, parents, and schools, I’ve seen how often support becomes reactive- driven by urgency, pressure, and short-term fixes.

Over time, I’ve come to believe that meaningful growth requires emotionally sustainable systems- environments, expectations, and skills that can hold steady over the long term.

My work is grounded in four core principles:

Understanding

The individual and the system around them are understood in context — including patterns, expectations, and needs.

Safety

A secure and predictable environment is established so learning and growth can take place steadily.

Skills

Skills are taught directly, and existing strengths are developed with clarity and structure.

Independence

Support is gradually adjusted as confidence grows and systems become manageable.

What They've said

Ms. Sukanksha has been my teacher for five years, guiding me from 8th grade all the way to graduation. She didn't just teach me subjects; she taught me life lessons. Her teaching style went beyond just covering material; she ensured I truly grasped the concepts, and her teaching method was tailored to my learning needs. What sets her apart is her passion for education and her respect for students with special needs. Each class with her was filled with new perspectives and energy, never making us feel like a burden. Her professional yet passionate approach made learning both enjoyable and effective.

Through our years of study,  she became someone I trust and a mentor, it's a relationship I hope to continue throughout our lives. Having her as a teacher brings a sense of love and happiness; I'm grateful for the opportunity to learn from her and now call her a friend.
